Position Summary:

The Associate Communications Manager, External Communications supports the day-to-day execution of GEODIS Americas' external communications program, with primary focus on executive thought leadership content and coordination of the external PR agency relationship. This role partners closely with the Director of Corporate Communications to help build executive presence on LinkedIn and coordinate media relations activity that supports brand visibility. The role also contributes to website,
blog, and digital content efforts as needed. This is a great fit for a strong writer and organized project coordinator looking to build a career in corporate and external communications, with room to grow into broader ownership over time.

Your role on the team:

  • Executive & Thought Leadership Communications (Primary Focus)
  • Draft and coordinate executive LinkedIn content, including posts and articles, for the President/CEO and senior leadership team, based on direction and messaging priorities set by the Director of Corporate Communications.
  • Own the executive social content calendar, deciding posting cadence and content mix across LinkedIn and other platforms within brand guidelines.
  • Identify timely industry topics, company news, and business wins that could translate into executive thought-leadership content, and bring recommendations to the Director.
  • Monitor engagement on executive channels and share performance updates with the Director of Corporate Communications
  • Support executives in preparing talking points, byline articles, and award submission materials.
  • PR Agency & Media Relations Coordination (Primary Focus)
  • Own day-to-day management of the external PR agency relationship, including deciding pitch priorities, story angles, and outreach timing within the strategy set by the Director of Corporate Communications (agency budget, contract scope, and overall performance accountability sit with the Director).
  • Direct media outreach, press release drafting, and story pitching in partnership with the PR agency.
  • Own the tracking and reporting of media coverage and campaign results, delivering regular summary reports to the Director of Corporate Communications.
  • Maintain media lists, coverage archives, and messaging documents to keep external communications organized and consistent.
  • Help coordinate logistics for media interviews, briefings, and industry events, and support spokesperson preparation as needed.
  • Website, Blog & Digital Content Support
  • Assist with writing and publishing website content, blog posts, and customer success stories, working from briefs and guidance provided by the Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing.
  • Help maintain the editorial content calendar for owned digital channels.
  • Support Marketing and Business Development with content requests tied to campaigns or sales enablement needs.
  • Assist in repurposing existing content (case studies, executive articles, press coverage) into social or email assets.
  • Brand Consistency
  • Ensure content follows established brand voice, visual identity, and messaging guidelines.
  • Partner with the Creative Services/Brand Studio team to source supporting visual assets for content projects.
  • Reporting Support
  • Help track basic performance metrics (engagement, coverage, website traffic) for executive and PR content, and contribute updates to regular reporting maintained by the Director.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent content and media projects, keeping timelines and stakeholders on track.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, HR, and Business Development on storytelling opportunities as directed.
  • Provide backup support for internal communications channels as needed.

 What you need:

  • 2-4 years of experience in communications, public relations, corporate communications, or content marketing.
  • Experience writing for executives or leadership audiences (LinkedIn content, talking points, or similar) is a plus.
  • Exposure to working with or alongside a PR agency or media relations team is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt voice and tone across executive, brand, and digital channels.
  • Good project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with senior executives with discretion and professionalism.
  • Basic familiarity with social media platforms (especially LinkedIn) and content publishing tools.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a collaborative, team-first approach.
  • Prior experience working at or with a PR agency.
  • Familiarity with SEO basics or content performance metrics.
  • Experience in B2B environments, ideally logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related industries
