Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position
The Department of Applied Engineering Technology is accepting applications for Part-Time Instructors for fall 2025, or spring 2026. Part-Time Instructors are hired on a semester-by-semester basis to teach a variety of courses in the following areas: Applied Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Computer Graphics Technology, and Technology Management. The maximum teaching load is four courses per semester.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching in-person courses or online courses, participating in teaching training, participating in data collection and assessment of student learning, participating in department faculty and staff meeting, and submitting teaching materials as part of semester review.
This is a temporary position.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The Department of Applied Engineering Technology supports about 400 undergraduate and graduate students. The Department offers the following degree programs: B.S. in Applied Engineering Technology, B.S. in Automotive Engineering Technology, B.S. in Computer Graphics Technology, M.S. in Technology Management, and Ph.D. in Applied Science and Technology - Technology Management concentration. The vision of the Department is to be a preeminent learner-centered community to prepare graduates as future technology innovators and industry leaders. The Department prepares students for success in transforming society through innovation and technology leadership.
