We are seeking a motivated and results driven Direct Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing door-to-door sales team. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, coaching team members in the field, recruiting top talent, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who thrives in a fast paced environment and is passionate about developing people while achieving ambitious sales goals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales requirements within the department;
  • Monitor work performance and conduct sales audits, providing coaching and counseling as necessary;
  • Conduct regular meetings (one-to-one) with staff to discuss current performance against goals and provide direction on how to improve results;
  • Assist staff with answering questions and handling escalated calls;
  • Provide ongoing-training as needed to ensure staff is properly following departmental policies and procedures;
  • Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure sales team's success across;
  • Work with others to facilitate relationships among members of the various departments and locations in order to achieve the organization's goals and objectives;
  • Participate in client interactions to ensure cross training, customer satisfaction and management involvement regularly;
  • Facilitate programs to gather requirements and features from customers to augment sales, marketing, development, support, product management, and business and technology partnerships, and others as needed;
  • Completely understands, represents, and competitively positions products and services;
  • Expand market awareness through involvement in trade and commercial organizations;
  • Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes in the telecommunications industry through attendance of training, seminars and trade journals;
  • Support others within the sales/service team to achieve customer satisfaction;
  • Maintain all necessary information in CRM and other applications to report sales activity and customer information;
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry including operations, technology, and equipment;
  • Knowledge of business sales principles and practices;
  • Knowledge of Company policies and procedures;
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with ability to quickly learn other software as needed;
  • Skill in oral and written communication with strong presentation and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to lead and motivate diverse sales teams and with demonstrated ability to teach and coach, and develop them to attain their monthly sales and revenue goals;
  • Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments;
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail;
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand;
  • Ability to travel as required; valid driverโ€™s license and satisfactory driving record required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, marketing, or related field required, or the equivalent in training and experience. Three to Five years of experience leading a successful Direct Sales team preferably within the telecommunications or IT services industries.

Experience with Client Relationship Management (CRM) applications is a plus.
