Job description

The Voluntary Corporate Actions Manager- Asset Servicing is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of corporate action events across global markets. This individual will lead a team of professionals, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, mitigating risk, and optimizing operational efficiency. The role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including custodians, brokers, asset managers, and technology teams, to enhance processes and drive strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy:
  • Provide strategic direction for the Corporate Actions function, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Drive automation and process enhancements to reduce manual intervention and improve scalability.

Operational Oversight:
  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of voluntary and mandatory corporate actions (e.g., dividends, mergers, spin-offs, tenders, proxy voting).
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation, entitlement calculations, and timely settlement of corporate action events.
  • Monitor and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SEC, DTCC, ISO standards).

Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex corporate action issues, resolving discrepancies with custodians, brokers, and clients.
  • Partner with Technology, Middle Office, and Front Office teams to enhance systems and workflows.
  • Represent the firm in industry forums, staying abreast of market changes and best practices.

Risk & Compliance:
  • Implement robust controls to prevent financial losses due to corporate action errors.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, SLAs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits and reviews to maintain data integrity and operational resilience.

Reporting & Analytics:
  • Develop KPIs and metrics to track team performance and operational efficiency.
  • Present executive-level reports on corporate actions processing, risk exposure, and process improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years in Corporate Actions processing
  • Minimum of 3 in People Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of global corporate action types and market practices (SWIFT, DTCC, ISO 15022/20022).
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Proficiency with corporate action platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Broadridge, SmartStream, Euroclear, Clearstream, S&P).
  • Strong understanding of settlement processes (DTC, Euroclear, Clearstream).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on risk management and process optimization.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience in asset management, investment banking, or global custodian operations.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in corporate actions automation.
