Job description

Job Title: Sr Corporate Actions
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months
Inviting applications for the role of Corporate Actions, Wealth Operations
Responsibilities
The role will be primarily responsible for back-office functions for our client. In Back-office functions you will primarily be working on Corporate Actions.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications

  • Any Graduate (PG an added advantage)
  • Effective probing & root cause analysis skills

Preferred qualifications
Relevant work experience in an Associate role is desirable. Previous experience in a middle/back office in Financial services firm of 4 to 5 years is required.
Job Responsibilities & Preferred skills:
  • Must have a strong understanding of financial products like Bonds, Mutual Funds, MBS, SWAPS, Equities, etc.
  • Responsible to managing, processing and submitting Corporate Action Events including communication to clients for Voluntary events.
  • Ensure that the results of any Corporate Action impacting a security held in custody is properly credited and reflected in client's account
  • Monitor and manage mandatory and/or voluntary corporate action events including dividends and interest payments
  • Process holding changes related to mergers between two or more entities
  • Submit Voluntary Corporate Action elections Action responses to share registry or custodian
  • Process the Corporate Action event in the Core Accounting system taking into consideration the tax impact.
  • Must have a good understanding of the risks involved in Corporate Actions
  • Coordinating with Internal/External Stake holders such as Securities/Trades and Pricing Team, Reporting Team, Investor Services team, Auditors, Client Service Managers and Clients.
  • Understanding around business transitions and required documentation will have added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel is required.
  • A good understanding around Risk and Control framework.
  • Ability to establish strong relationship with onshore counterparts such as custodians, brokers and client trading desks and should be capable of handling Onshore Queries and Issues.
  • Experience of applications like Global Plus, AddVantage & Trust Desk applications would have added advantage.
