Job Summary Client is seeking an experienced Corporate Actions Specialist to join its Operations team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of mandatory and voluntary corporate action events across the firm's portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with a thorough understanding of corporate actions, equity and fixed income securities, and investment operations. Key Responsibilities Corporate Actions Management Manage and process mandatory and voluntary corporate action events from announcement through final settlement. Analyze and monitor corporate action events within the BlackRock Aladdin Trade Management System. Validate and reconcile event data received from vendors, middle-office teams, and custodian banks. Solicit election instructions from Portfolio Managers, Traders, and other Front Office stakeholders for voluntary events. Submit timely and accurate election instructions to custodians prior to market deadlines. Maintain operational controls and processing standards related to corporate action workflows. Reconciliation & Settlement Perform cash and position reconciliations related to corporate action activities across designated portfolios. Investigate and resolve discrepancies, settlement issues, and reconciliation exceptions. Partner with middle-office teams and custodian banks to resolve unconfirmed settlements and outstanding items. Ensure accurate and timely settlement of all corporate action events. Operational Support & Stakeholder Management Provide functional support to Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Portfolio Administrators using the Aladdin platform. Respond to corporate action-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate clear and timely communication among internal clients, operational teams, business partners, and external counterparties. Deliver exceptional service and operational support to key stakeholders across the organization. Process Improvement & Risk Management Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements. Develop and implement solutions to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce operational risk. Assist in maintaining strong operational controls and adherence to established procedures. Support ongoing enhancement of corporate action processing and reconciliation practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Minimum 3-5 years of investment operations, corporate actions, or related financial services experience. Strong knowledge of corporate actions processing, including both mandatory and voluntary events. Strong understanding of equity and fixed income securities. Experience performing cash and position reconciliations. Knowledge of custodian bank operations and their interaction with asset management firms. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within an Asset Management or Investment Management environment. Hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin (BRS Aladdin). Experience supporting portfolio managers, traders, and investment operations teams. Exposure to middle-office operations, settlements, and securities processing. Proven ability to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies. Certifications Professional financial services certifications such as CFA, CFI, or equivalent are a plus. Additional investment operations or securities industry certifications are preferred but not required. Education: Bachelors Degree
