Job description

Your Opportunity
At Schwab, you're empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us "challenge the status quo" and transform the finance industry together.
If you're passionate about enhancing the employee experience and helping organizations successfully navigate change, join the Change Management Center of Excellence within the Strategy Enablement team in Human Resources. This team plays a critical role in enabling enterprise transformation by helping employees and leaders adopt new ways of working, strengthen engagement, and build capabilities that drive long-term business success.
As a Manager, Change Management, you will play a pivotal role in helping employees and leaders successfully adopt change across some of Schwab's most important initiatives. Partnering closely with HR and business leaders, you will develop and execute strategies that accelerate adoption, strengthen engagement, and drive lasting behavior change.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing strategic consulting and guidance throughout the change lifecycle. In addition to leading transformation efforts, you will help build organizational change capability across the firm through the Change@Schwab community and enterprise change management programs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the change management lead for multiple small- to medium-scale initiatives at a time, and partner on larger, cross-functional efforts as needed.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change strategies, including stakeholder assessments, change impact analyses, readiness evaluations, sponsorship plans, and adoption strategies.
  • Apply the Change COE's standard change process, tools, and templates to deliver complete, high-quality, consistent deliverables.
  • Design and deliver targeted change interventions, including communications, training, engagement activities, and reinforcement plans.
  • Partner with leaders, project teams, and Centers of Excellence to align change approaches and drive successful outcomes and ensure the change strategy is fully integrated with the overall project plan and timeline.
  • Establish and measure key performance indicators to evaluate adoption, readiness, and sustained business results, and use that data to adjust the approach and capture lessons learned.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and resistance points that may impact successful implementation.
  • Promote scalable, repeatable change practices that drive simplicity, efficiency, and long-term organizational effectiveness.
  • Review and strengthen the change deliverables of peers and project partners to ensure quality and consistency with Change COE standards.
  • Contribute to the advancement of change management capabilities across the enterprise through the Change@Schwab community, sharing best practices and coaching partners and less-experienced practitioners.

What you have
To ensure we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Change Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of dedicated organizational change management, transformation, or consulting experience within a similarly sized, complex organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into practical, scalable change strategies that drive adoption and deliver results.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders and project sponsors, with growing executive presence and the ability to build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional consulting, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Advanced visual storytelling skills and experience developing clear, compelling executive presentations and business communications.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and build credibility in highly matrixed environments.
  • Strategic thinker who can balance long-term vision with hands-on execution.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and sound judgment when navigating ambiguity and change.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prosci Change Management Practitioner Certification or comparable change management certification.
  • Experience supporting and leading workstreams within large-scale transformation initiatives involving process, technology, organizational, cultural, or operating model changes.
  • Experience working within a Human Resources organization comprised of Centers of Excellence and shared services teams.
  • Experience within financial services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with change measurement methodologies, adoption analytics, and organizational effectiveness practices.
