Descriptions/ Job Summary:

Area Manager SFO

Job Type: Full-Time, Salary Exempt

Salary: $125,000-$150,000

Global K9 Protection Group LLC is looking for a dedicated and passionate Area Manager SFO to serve as an integral part of the GK9PG Team.

Responsibilities: 

  • Serves as the first line supervisor for GK9PG Site Lead and second line supervisor to employees at that location. 
  • The Area Manager provides site specific input to the Regional Director of Cargo Operations and Commercial Operations and Regional K9 Director as required.
  • Serves as the first level of client interface with GK9PG leadership at each site. 
  • Serves as the first level of compliance accountability for site. 
  • Enforces all GK9PG policies and procedures.   
  • Manages customer relationships at the site management level. 
  • Coordinates new customer start-ups.
  • Facilitates new employee orientation and OJT requirements.
  • Administratively assist on local level as needed. 
  • Responsible for overall site growth, customer satisfaction and acquisition.
  • Oversees site scheduling activities for site(s) – e.g., reviews schedules created by applicable site leads for personnel at their respective site locations.
  • Develops training schedule to meet CETA and training requirements. 
  • Facilitates badging at site and perform functions of the signatory authority for the company.  
  • Ensures all site training is completed as required and ensures annotation in GlobalView or any other applicable systems.
  • Ensures Site Lead completes a GK9PG equipment inventory for the site in a timely manner (computers, phones, diopters, expendable supplies, SCI, etc.), Area Manager submits said inventory to maintain / update inventory of equipment with GK9PG Logistics Section; initiates reorder, or purchase procedures as required.
  • Manages training compliance (240 min/week, 9 odors every 30 days, 4 -5 drop aids per shift) and ensures annotation in GlobalView.
  • Enforces monthly K9 maintenance / preventive medication and ensures annotation in GlobalView.
  • Manages explosive inventory monthly for both high and low explosives as applicable to site and ensures annotation in GlobalView.
  • Reviews a TBD% of site videos per week / per month and ensures annotation in GlobalView according to OPSC guidelines.
  • Reviews GlobalView inputs of subordinates for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and schedule required recertification training dates. 
  • Counsel’s subordinates as required.  
  • Assists site lead with any disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Paycom Duties-ensures site leads are monitoring employee punches, PTO, Overtime scheduling. Completes end of month customer billing spreadsheet.
  • Handbook policy enforcement.
  • K9 training experience, 3+ years preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Able to work outside normal business hours including weekends as needed.
  • Ability to get and maintain a Employee Possessor license through ATF
