Job Description
Maintain day-to-day planning, ordering and expediting of raw materials and supplies, and then communicate results to all appropriate departments. Schedule and maintain work center schedules to accommodate customer orders.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent, Associate degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient computer skills in both word processing and spreadsheet manipulation
• Knowledge and experience with SAP, MRP and PRMS required
• Strong and effective negotiating and communicating ability
• Knowledge and ability to work with and resolve problems regarding stock (delivery, quantity, etc.) with both outside suppliers and internal customers as necessary
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and remain calm in a fast-paced and stressful environment
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a contact person for sales and customer service
• Prioritize and manage work center schedule communicating changes and adjustments to appropriate departments and management
• Input and track travelling requisitions
• Update and manage coating MRP as necessary
• Initiate supplier corrective action using supplier feedback forms and verify responses are received
• Verify Purchase Orders have been received and allocate part numbers and stock items
• Evaluate and plan authorized purchases and receipts for specified stock and non-stock items
• Negotiate pricing as needed for coating materials
• Communicate stock availability, lead time and expedites to Customer Service team and other departments as needed
• Evaluate, track and record OTIF information
Additional non-essential duties:
• Act as back up to the materials material purchaser and the graphics department.
• All other tasks as assigned
