Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees day to day operations in the maintenance shop, provides direct leadership for technicians, supervises the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment installed and used for daily operations, and ensures timely installation and upkeep of the company’s property and systems in order to establish operational effectiveness.

Hiring Range: $85,000.00- $100,000.00 per year. 


  • Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality.
  • Reviews repairs and other maintenance requests and prepares work order documents.
  • Oversees personnel including coaching, training, evaluating, employee performance, conducts disciplinary action as needed and provides input for improvement.
  • Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies and safety regulations.
  • Establishes and maintains the highest level of excellence in communication with colleagues throughout the company.
  • Assists and coordinates maintenance activities with Maintenance Manager to maximize operational efficiency of equipment and minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Maintains and improves a Preventative Maintenance Program within the facility to ensure all equipment is operational continually.
  • Organizes, schedules, and manages work crews for major equipment overhauls, replacement of equipment and special projects.
  • Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve team and corporate results.
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
  • Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, a minimum of 3 years of responsible leadership experience in management or supervisory positions, 3-5 years’ experience in a fleet maintenance environment, and be legally eligible to work in the US. A valid CDL driver’s license is desired.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, good analytical reasoning and justification skills, and an ability to teach and train others are required. Proven management skills and excellent problem solving skills are expected.
