Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Mailroom Associate to handle, sort and distribute envelopes and packages. In this role, you should be diligent and reliable, have attention to detail, good literacy skills and the ability to remain calm and productive when handling urgent mail or postage mistakes.
Your goal will be to ensure our mail reaches its recipients in good condition within the Service Level Agreements in place.
Job Requirements:
This position is essential in maintaining the mailroom's daily activities without interruption
  • Work with other mailroom workers to receive, sort and distribute mail throughout the organization
  • Process accountable mail couriers' shipments
  • Assist and notify clients of mail and shipping protocols
  • Prepare large batches of mail for distribution
  • Keep records of incoming and outgoing packages utilizing computer applications & software
  • Collect and prepare correspondence to be mailed, applying appropriate metering, verifying addresses and ensuring the packages are delivered with accuracy
  • Arrange for express delivery when needed by the client
  • Track mailroom supplies
  • Ability to be flexible and able to work overtime as the business requires
  • Must assist in supporting all service lines in addition to primary role

Job Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail while multitasking
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
  • Microsoft Office experience; specifically in Outlook and Excel
  • Capability to stand, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, sit, talk, or hear as required by job duties
  • Ability to engage in repetitive motion activities like twisting, bending, and climbing
  • Able to lift 40lbs
  • Comfortable in a client facing environment

"The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
