Position Overview:

As a Material Handler, you will assist customers during the shipping and handling process by expediting and routing movement of incoming and outgoing mail, packages and freight shipments for air transportation.

This is a PART-TIME JOB! We Currently have PM Shifts Available (6pm - 10pm 6 days per week, Hours are subject to change.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

  • Load and unload postal bulk mail carts and containers;
  • Build up and break down of freight as applicable;
  • Properly and safely loads and unloads mail.
  • Including build up and break down of containers following guidelines;
  • Organizes mail within the warehouse according to the base storage plan;
  • Verifies upon receipt delivery from/to customer shipment pieces, weight, dimensions and airworthiness;

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred;
  • Must be 18 years of age or older;
  • Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel);
  • Maintain and treat all information as confidential;
  • Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives;
  • Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English;
  • Must be able to verbally direct in English.

Work Environment:

  • Physically strenuous, prolonged periods of time standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive at times), safe but

potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, in and around heavy moving equipment.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and hear efficiently;
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling;
  • Must be able to lift up to and in excess of 50 pounds.
