Job description

We are looking for a shop foreman. The shop is a machine shop. Hours are 5:30am - 2pm.

The shop currently has 15 employees. The shop foreman serves as the primary link between the office, including management, engineering, sales, and HR, and the shop floor.

The main responsibilities of the position include:

• Receiving drawing packages and job assignments from the office
• Ensuring jobs are completed accurately and on schedule

• Quality Control
• Making sure shop employees have sufficient work and remain productive
• Resolving production issues as they arise
• Working actively in the shop and supporting employees wherever needed
• Interviewing candidates for open shop positions
• Communicating with employees regarding work schedules, overtime, and PTO
• Maintaining required DEHEC documentation
• Assisting engineering and sales with job quotes by estimating the shop time required to fabricate parts

Any candidate that has machinist experience with knowledge of manual mills and lathes, as well as CNC machinery. This experience has been extremely valuable, so a candidate with a similar technical background would be great however not mandatory.
