Job Description
Our client is seeking a Mac Engineer for an exciting contract to hire opportunity. This position is for someone who has a passion for evolving technology and customer support. You will provide exceptional technical expertise within a large ministry organization for macOS and Apple hardware support needs. Must have strong leadership skills, be able to effectively manage time, complete tasks independently, and be exceptionally professional. This position is a key player as a subject matter expert to the IT support team and our customers by assessing situations, sharing knowledge, and providing technology support.
DUTIES:
  • Develop and implement advanced scripts (python / bash) to automate tasks and streamline Mac System Processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions that enhance overall efficiency and user experience.
  • Utilize your expertise in MDM solutions, configure, and manage Mac devices within the organization.
  • Stay updated on the latest MDM and Apple features and best practices to optimize device management processes.
  • Collaborate with security teams to Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of Mac systems.
  • Manage and maintain the deployment of network configurations to ensure optimal performance, connectivity, and user experience.
  • Provide technical support to end-users, addressing Mac-related issues promptly and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other levels of the team to develop user-friendly guides, workflows, and documentation.
  • Provide VIP white glove support to Executive level staff and above.
  • Assist in enhancing our existing identity management framework by leveraging AD and spearhead advancements in user authentication, including the implementation and improvements of our existing single sign-on solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to implement strategies for efficient Mac system management in a Windows dominated environment.
  • Work toward continuous improvement, identifying and implementing optimizations for better performance and user experience
  • Create KBs related to Apple/Mac processes
  • Manage Mac training documentation
  • Manage Mac onboarding/offboarding process

REQUIREMENTS:
  • ACSP, /CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in some facet of IT is preferred
  • Deskside Support background
  • 3+ years of Mac enterprise support
  • 4+ years of Deskside support background preferred.
  • 2+ years of network/infrastructure background
  • Ability to effectively handle a wide variety of duties with minimal supervision
  • Effectively use ticketing software, and manage personal ticket queue
  • Excellent time management skills and can make decisions quickly
  • Excellent customer service disposition while troubleshooting and solving issues
  • Willingness and ability to lift and/or move equipment/boxes up to 50lbs
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in an open, collaborative office-space with frequent interruptions
  • Must be able to effectively operate Windows based computers and be proficient at using the Microsoft Office suite
