Overview

Job Summary: 

Works with Physician Network leadership, Physicians, Nurses and staff to develop, implement, train and maintain EMR for affiliated clinics.

Demonstrates through behavior Decatur Morgan Hospital's mission, vision and values.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities / Essential Functions

1.       Train new employees on the EMR application

2.       Train existing staff on any new application upgrades, form changes or changes related to Meaningful                   Use, Joint Commission or other regulatory requirements.

3.       Maintain all current forms in the EMR

4.       Make any form alterations in the EMR as requested by physicians/department managers

5.       Insure the EMR meets all MIPS requirements.

6.       Assist physicians/staff to use EMR to meet quality measures to avoid CMS penalties

7.       Assist physicians/staff to use EMR to meet Meaningful Use to obtain any CMS incentives and/or avoid                CMS penalties.

8.       Assist in the conversion of the EMR

9.       Train the staff in the use of EMR and GPMS as it relates to ICD-10

10.    Maintain detailed tracking and documentation of all change requests and training

11.    Maintain detailed documentation of all attestation of CMS for MIPS

12.    Work with vendors to assist with EMR issues

13.    Run audit reports of user access and open document

14.      Learn, build, implement and train any new EMR systems installed.

15.      Assist Quality Team with Star improvements for ACO/MIPS reporting

QualificationsMinimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

Education:  HS/GED required; Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred

 

Experience: 5 years RN experience, as well as experience with interfaces and practice management systems required. Clinical experience required.

Skills: Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. Ability to communicate clearly. Strong computer skills and basic programming knowledge. Experience in teaching staff.
