About the position...

Edge is seeking competitive, self-motivated, production-driven team members who are also eager to learn.


As a Carrier Sales Representative, you are responsible for the coverage of our customers’ freight and ensuring it’s seamlessly serviced. You will be responsible for developing relationships with carrier companies and committing to sustaining and growing those relationships through consistent and strategic communication.


Responsibilities

  • Create and manage an individual book of business.
  • Develop new and grow existing relationships with carriers through cold calling, lead generation, and referrals.
  • Source and negotiate with the carrier base to move available loads.
  • Book available freight in a cost-effective manner.
  • Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the customer sales reps.
  • Properly document truck capacity within the TMS system.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, Sales, Marketing, or Communication preferred
  • Logistics, sales, or customer service experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of freight markets preferred
