Job description

Position Summary

The Enterprise Account Executive is responsible for closing contractual commitments of $2M and above in annual transportation spend. This individual works to understand the business challenges of prospective customers and fosters professional relationships in the targeted vertical markets. The Enterprise Account Executive will lead the process of developing each account-specific sales strategy in partnership with Solutions, Marketing, Operations, and the Executive team, resulting in closed business according to a predetermined annual target. To be successful, the Account Executive will work long hours, maintain persistence in a highly competitive market, find many of their own prospects, commit to at least 20% travel, and achieve growth each year. The reward is commensurate compensation that is residual and uncapped. We are looking for candidates who can hit the ground running, with at least eight years of proven sales success in the managed transportation services space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to the following:

• Engage and qualify leads and secure meetings with targeted prospects

• Understand business challenges of prospective customers

• Foster professional relationships in targeted markets

• Be a leader within the eShipping sales team, and a mentor and partner in the sales process

• Engage and advance new sales prospects

• Clearly articulate eShipping’s value proposition

• Complete all business processes within applicable technology platforms

• Work effectively within a team

• Partner with Solutions, Marketing, Operations teams to strategize and close sales

• Meet production requirements as defined by Chief Revenue Officer, including achieving growth by securing new customers each year

• Have an unwavering commitment to the mission, values, and vision of eShipping

• Proficiently navigate our technology platforms and sales processes within the first 30 days of employment

• Other duties as assigned

Specific Department Responsibilities

• Must be available for travel 15% - 50% of the time

• Must have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

Minimum Education and Experience

• Eight years of sales experience in the managed transportation services space

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is inside a central heat and air-conditioned office building. The noise level in the work environment is minimal.
