Job description

Our client seeks a Logistics Account Representative to maintain strong relationships with clients, coordinate freight bookings, negotiate with carriers and ensure seamless end-to-end logistics operations. MUST reside in Des Moines, Iowa.

You will earn a base salary of up to $55,000 per year, depending on your experience. You will also enjoy an excellent benefits package! This position is on-site with potential hybrid schedule. You will work M-F 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.

To qualify for the Logistics Account Representative, you must have:

  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in transportation/logistics environment with account management focus
  • Experience booking trucks and negotiating with carriers
  • Strong understanding of transportation modes (FTL, LTL, Open Deck, Drayage and more)
  • Familiarity with industry-specific technologies
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a team

Your responsibilities as Logistics Account Representative will include maintaining strong relationships with clients. In addition, you will be:

  • Acting as primary point of contact for clients
  • Ensuring logistics needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Booking freight
  • Managing shipments
  • Coordinating transportation services
  • Addressing/resolving issues related to transportation, carrier performance
  • Tracking shipments
