About the Role:
As the Director of Regional Logistics Operations US, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless distribution of BioNTech's clinical and commercial pharmaceutical products across the region. Reporting to the Global Senior Director, Warehouse & Transportation, you will drive organizational development and execute logistics activities covering order management, transportation, warehousing, customs/trade, and compliance. Your work will directly support our mission by maintaining product integrity, ensuring patient safety, and optimizing cost-effective distribution while adhering to FDA, DOT, GDP/GMP standards.
This role is an integral part of the US Technical Operations leadership team. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape strategies that align with department goals and contribute to BioNTech's success in delivering innovative therapies.
Your Contribution:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional logistics team while fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Execute supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, trade/customs requirements, and GxP standards
    Monitor logistics performance metrics and control costs to meet budgets and service levels
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives while resolving structural or operational challenges effectively
  • Manage third-party logistics partners to ensure optimal service delivery

A Good Match:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field proven experience in biopharmaceutical logistics operations 10 plus years, including leadership roles in biologics supply chain or trade/customs
  • Expertise in controlled transportation, cold-chain management, international business practices, and inventory management

If the position is filled in the US, the Expected Pay Range is $168,100/year to $268,700/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation at other locations may vary significantly.
