Summary
The Logistics Manager oversees the daily logistics operations for Service Motor Company's 6 dealerships. This role ensures efficient, safe, and timely transportation and will partner with the Sales, Parts, Service, and Operations teams to support customer satisfaction and achieve operational goals.
Required Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree or 2-year Technical Degree in a related field
3-5 years of related experience in logistics, scheduling, inventory management, customer service, sales, or rental.
Preferred Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field 5-7 years of related experience in logistics, scheduling, inventory management, customer service, sales, or rental.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.

Fleet Management
โ€ข Oversee the organization's vehicle operations to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective transportation.
โ€ข Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and inspections.
โ€ข Optimize fleet utilization to reduce transportation costs and improve efficiency.
โ€ข Track fuel usage, mileage, and maintenance expenses.
โ€ข Oversee the rental program at all 6 stores.
Logistics Planning
โ€ข Develop delivery schedules that maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs.
โ€ข Analyze shipping routes and recommend process improvements.
โ€ข Coordinate with manufacturers, suppliers, and freight carriers.
โ€ข Resolve transportation delays and delivery issues promptly.
Transportation & Equipment Delivery
โ€ข Manages all inbound and outbound transportation of equipment, attachments, and parts.
โ€ข Schedule customer deliveries, inter-branch transfers, and supplier shipments to meet customer expectations.
โ€ข Ensure equipment is delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with all DOT and company regulations.
โ€ข Coordinate oversized and specialized equipment transportation as required.
Customer Service
โ€ข Communicate delivery schedules and updates with customers.
โ€ข Resolve transportation-related customer concerns professionally.
โ€ข Partner with Sales and Service teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Inventory & Yard Operations
โ€ข Coordinate movement of equipment between dealership locations.
โ€ข Ensure accurate inventory tracking during transfers and deliveries.
โ€ข Work closely with Parts and Service departments to prioritize equipment and parts movement.
โ€ข Maintain organized yards and staging areas.
โ€ข Monitor equipment receiving and shipping processes.

This role requires frequent use of hands and fingers to handle tools, controls, and objects while sitting. These physical demands are standard for effectively carrying out the essential functions of this job.
