Position: Logistics, Dispatch & Warehouse Manager

Location: Quipt Home Medical Corporate Office-Wilder, KY

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm


Summary/Objective:

The Logistics, Dispatch and Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring delivering a superior service to our customers with the delivery of home medical equipment in a professional, efficient, and timely manner. The position has oversight of the efficiency, accuracy and accountability of our inventory assets.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Patient focused to live out our mission of exceeding expectations, enriching lives.
  • Proven ability to lead, engage and build a strong team to make a meaningful difference in the delivery of medical equipment to our customers/patients in the home setting.
  • Strong analytical skills to manage our daily delivery routes, productivity metrics Dispatch orders in a timely manner while driving efficiency.
  • Critical Thinking skills to identify and solve problems to ensure customers receive excellent care and friendly service with the delivery of their home medical equipment needs.
  • Serves as a Champion for employee and patient Safety in our vehicles, warehouse, offices and in our patient home setting.
  • Supports all departments as a team leader to meet patient/referral expectations regarding service.
  • Ensures Quipt Policies and Procedures are adhered too along with reporting requirements for DOT, FDA, Insurance Plans and JCAHO accreditation requirements.
  • Maintains a clean, well-organized warehouse including outside the facility.
  • Ensure all Medical Equipment Products are clean and function tested to manufacturer specifications prior to delivery.
  • Creates and managed weekly work schedules including on call after-hours schedules for service techs and participates in on call rotation.
  • Ensures proper inventory levels are maintained to meet patient needs.
  • Ensures delivery vehicles are properly maintained and safety standards are met.
  • Provides ongoing training for technicians to keep current on all equipment and policies & procedures.
  • Ensures performance evaluations to the team along with recognizing top performers and coaching overall performance upward.
  • Responsible to manage staffing levels including recruit, hire and performing interviews as needed.
  • Covers deliveries and service calls during and after hours as needed


Other Duties

  • Create and review purchase requests to ensure accuracy prior to submission to purchasing department.
  • Dispatch deliveries to technicians utilizing logistics software to ensure timely deliveries to patients. This includes normal daily routing and assigning additional deliveries as they arise throughout the day.
  • Accurate receiving and shipping of incoming/outgoing products through appropriate distribution channels.
  • Perform inventory counts as directed to comply with purchasing and finance requirements.

Physical Requirements

Ability to perform repetitive tasks: keyboarding, telephone usage, stair climbing, reaching, bending, squatting, etc.

May be required to lift 75lbs or less.

Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate company vehicles.

Computer Skills: Excel, Word and General computer skills


Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Driver's License (Required)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report
  • Must be able to pass background check
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments timely and accurately
  • ON-CALL ROTATION IS REQUIRED
