Job description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to coordinate transportation operations, monitor deliveries, and ensure efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and experience managing drivers, routes, and shipment schedules.
Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and dispatch drivers, vehicles, and equipment to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Monitor shipment progress and provide real-time updates to customers and management.
  • Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules to maximize efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding route changes, traffic conditions, and customer requirements.
  • Track vehicles using GPS and transportation management systems.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver logs, and transportation documentation.
  • Resolve transportation issues, delays, and customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel, customers, and transportation partners to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare reports on delivery performance, driver productivity, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations.
