Position Summary

The Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily delivery operations, optimizing delivery routes, supporting dispatch activities, and ensuring exceptional service for both internal and external customers. This role serves as a key link between warehouse operations, delivery teams, contractors, and customers to ensure timely and efficient execution of delivery schedules.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and dispatch daily delivery routes based on capacity, geography, and business demands.
  • Monitor delivery activity and proactively address route exceptions, delays, or service disruptions.
  • Schedule deliveries and adjust routing plans to maximize operational efficiency.
  • Track, document, and resolve missed deliveries, delivery exceptions, and re-delivery requests.
  • Prepare and submit delivery manifests, route documentation, and stop records in accordance with operational deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records to support contractor settlements and delivery performance tracking.
  • Communicate route changes, delivery updates, and operational priorities to drivers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Complete all required training programs and certifications by established deadlines.
  • Partner effectively with warehouse, customer service, and transportation teams to support daily operational goals.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, delivery teams, and business partners.
  • Escalate operational concerns and recommendations to leadership to improve service levels and efficiency.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming calls and emails related to delivery scheduling, dispatch activity, and customer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate information within transportation, routing, and ticket management systems.
  • Generate and distribute route paperwork, pick lists, and delivery documentation.
  • Support special projects, company initiatives, and operational requests as assigned.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance logistics and transportation knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dispatch processes, route efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 1+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, routing, transportation coordination, customer service, or related operational support role required.

Compensation:

Competitive pay range of Pay rate of $22.00 per hour.
