We are a small start-up team located in the greater DMV area. We are looking to hire a Valet Operations Lead to manage day-to-day logistics operations at Roda. The ideal candidate will have a "start-up" mentality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, have demonstrated dispatch, customer service, and or management experience, and get exhilarated when sharing great ideas.
The Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Logistics, Detail & Wash Coordinator to oversee vehicle pick-up and drop-off services while managing day-to-day logistics for our auto repair operations. This role is responsible for coordinating valet drivers, scheduling vehicle movements, and supporting a small towing operation to ensure efficient, safe, and timely service for our customers.
Responsibilities
Logistics & Dispatch Coordination
  • Plan and optimize daily routes for valet drivers and towing operations
  • Dispatch drivers and tow operators based on service needs and priority
  • Track vehicle locations and maintain accurate movement logs
  • Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to align vehicle flow with shop capacity
  • Coordinate vehicle staging, parking, and movement to keep operations flowing

Towing Operations Management
  • Oversee a small-scale towing operation, including scheduling and dispatching
  • Ensure proper handling, safety, and compliance with local towing regulations
  • Maintain towing equipment readiness and coordinate basic maintenance/inspections

Team Leadership & Accountability
  • Supervise and support a team of valet drivers, including recruitment, training, performance management, and coaching to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Lead, schedule, and supervise dispatch and wash teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Set clear productivity expectations and monitor performance metrics
  • Train staff on efficient processes, safety, and quality standards
  • Quickly address workflow issues, delays, or team performance gaps

Operational Performance
  • Ensure a delightful client valet experience, exceeding performance expectations and adhering to service level agreements
  • Track and drive key metrics such as:
  • Trips per day
  • On time percentage
  • Cost per trip
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements
  • Maintain organized lot flow to support high vehicle volume

Client communication
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle pick-up and delivery for customers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for valet service inquiries and updates
  • Ensure timely communication with customers regarding service status and delivery windows
  • Provide great customer service by proactively communicating with clients, responding to requests and resolving any service concerns.

Experience
  • 2+ years' experience in logistics, quality and vendor management, transportation or last mile delivery
  • History of delivering delightful customer experiences
  • History of managing delivery or driver networks
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to perform data analysis to craft tactical operational recommendations
  • Own transportation network planning and execution supporting growth and expansion strategy
  • Expertise in cost reduction and eliminating the root causes of defects.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, make quick decisions, and adapt to service changes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
