Summary:

Certarus is successfully growing and actively hiring for experienced Logistics Coordinators to join the centralized dispatch team in a fast-paced, high-tech, team-oriented environment with abundant growth opportunities.

24/7 dispatching across all terminals in Canada and the USA performed by a team of Logistics Coordinators, assigned to a specific territory. Responsible for directly identifying, planning, and coordinating the transportation of gas deliveries and all ancillary support equipment. This position will appeal to logistics professionals or high-performing individuals with transferable skills looking to expand their careers into an emerging market in a critical role focused on supporting the continued growth of North America’s largest CNG solutions provider.

This position is based out of the Calgary corporate office.

Schedule:

  • 12 hours shifts on a rotation 5/4 schedule;
    • eg. 5 day shifts, 4 days off, 5 night shifts, 5 days off, 4 day shifts, 5 days off etc.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working collaboratively at all levels of the organization as a member of Certarus’ high-performing logistics team
  • Monitoring customer gas consumption rates using a SCADA system and dispatching loads to replenish inventory based on gas consumption rates and gas volume available on site
  • Make informed decisions using our technology platforms (SCADA, fleet GPS monitoring (Samsara), electronic logbooks, and other fleet management software)
  • Quickly and accurately action information received from multiple sources
  • Effective utilization of trucking resources while planning and dispatching gas deliveries within the assigned territory
  • Focus on transportation efficiency by proactively planning cost-effective gas deliveries
  • Responsible for the accurate approval of internal and third-party trucking tickets
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for internal and third-party truck drivers
  • Building and managing respectful and productive relationships with drivers and field operations

Requirements:

  • 5-10+ years in logistics, dispatch, transportation or a combination of transferable skills and experience
  • Previous experience in oilfield or transportation dispatching
  • Advanced computer proficiency required, candidates with experience in automated monitoring systems such as SCADA, and digital dispatching systems (Samsara) as well as MS Excel
  • Highly developed communication, organization, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities and plan effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions responding effectively to challenges, often under stress and with limited information
  • Ability to remain focused and positive under stressful conditions
  • Proactive individuals able to work without immediate day-to-day supervision who can hold themselves accountable for their actions and for producing expected results.
