Logistics Account Coordinator

Are you a natural problem solver who thinks quickly on your feet? Backhaul Direct is looking for a Logistics Account Coordinator to join our Customer Operations team. This role has a primary focus on scheduling loads and ensuring seamless freight execution while supporting Account Managers with day-to-day operational needs.
You'll support Account Managers by coordinating shipments end-to-end, entering and validating load details, setting pickup and delivery appointments, communicating with carriers and internal teams, and resolving issues as they arise. What Will You Do as a Logistics Account Coordinator?
  • Accurately accept load tenders and build shipments in Backhaul Direct's proprietary Grapevine TMS
  • Accept and validate EDI tenders, ensuring shipment details are correct and complete
  • Schedule pickup and delivery appointments via phone, email, or customer scheduling systems
  • Dispatch and track assigned carriers, providing accurate and timely load information
  • Act as a key communicator between Account Managers, Carrier Sales, customers, and internal teams
  • Work with the Carrier Sales team to verify loads are brokered and rates are approved
  • Assist in negotiating coverage and pricing to ensure loads are covered efficiently
  • Support new account onboarding to ensure customer and internal requirements are met
  • Quickly identify and resolve issues related to scheduling, service failures, delays, shortages, or damages
  • Communicate proactively with all stakeholders when issues arise
  • Assist with customer service and billing-related inquiries as needed
  • Collaborate with your team to identify opportunities to improve processes and grow customer accounts

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (business, logistics, supply chain, or related field a plus)
  • Previous logistics or transportation experience preferred, but not required-we will train the right candidate
  • Strong customer service and communication skills (verbal, written, and professional)

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven with a strong work ethic and a positive, growth-oriented mindset
