Responsibilities
Our intern will collaborate with the Global Logistics team, and other functions in MSA to achieve key business initiatives. The intern will have the opportunity to impact MSA's bottom line through Freight Cost Reduction Projects. Interns will be responsible for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to assist the team in assessing cost improvement opportunities.
Projects include:
  • Tracking on-time delivery performance
  • Data modeling for shipping agreements
  • Understanding fuel pricing impacts
  • Tracking inbound freight cost performance
  • Working cross-functionally with buying, distribution, and sales teams
  • Establishing relationships with regional, national, and global service providers
  • Gaining experience in overcoming global supply chain challenges

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical capability
  • Proficiencies in MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Access
  • Prior SAP knowledge a plus
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Ability to engage in teams/collaboration
  • Incumbent should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline (Supply Chain, Mathematics or other analytical field)
  • Must have completed at least one semester of Sophomore year.
