The Stroke Program Manager will be based at a central Stroke Program Office but will travel frequently to spend time onsite at all Legacy Stroke Centers.


The Stroke Program Manager is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day operations of the system-wide Legacy Health Stroke Program. Collaborates with the Stroke Program Medical Director and other members of the Stroke Program on planning, development and implementation of program goals and operations to provide excellence in stroke patient care. The Stroke Program Manager promotes use of evidence-based guidelines and ensures compliance with state and national standards of care for the stroke patient population. Responsible for oversight of the Stroke Program quality management system and monitoring performance measures tracked in the system. Mentors hospital-based Stroke Coordinators and promotes best practice sharing across the system. Supports Stroke Centers to maintain certification and advance programs including participation in research. Demonstrates a firm clinical knowledge base in stroke care and systems theory. Exhibits clinical leadership, promotes professional development and the advancement of clinical practice and is a change agent/role model. Provides ongoing education and training for clinical staff, patients and family members and the greater communities Legacy serves. Serves as a liaison between the hospitals, physicians, pre-hospital providers and administration and supports regional outreach strategy.


Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing, Rehab Services, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field required. 

 

Experience: Minimum of five years clinical experience working with stroke and other neurological patient populations, minimum of three years experience in project management and leading quality/safety/performance improvement initiatives. Prior experience with LEAN methodology, in an advanced practice role and/or Stroke Program leadership preferred.

 

Skills:

Intermediate to Advanced skill with Microsoft Office Suite.

Adept at data collection, data entry, report generation and data analysis.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with professional speaking with external and internal audiences.

Critical thinking and organizational skills including ability to prioritize and delegate work appropriately.

AHA BLS for healthcare providers within three months of hire required. Current State licensure required (as applicable).  NIH Stroke Scale Certification within three months of hire required.  Neuroscience or Stroke Certification (e.g., CNRN,SCRN,SCRS), preferred.


USD $57.75 - USD $86.05 /Hr.
