JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: Owatonna & Faribault, MN • Service Setting: Hospital / Float Pool • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Coverage Period: Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: - Monday–Thursday: 8 or 10 hour shifts - Friday: Emergent cases only (C-sections and occasional additional case) - PM Call: 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM - Weekend Call: Friday–Sunday (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) • Call Schedule: Rotated between all providers • Call Type: Beeper Call • Response Time: 30 minutes PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Pediatrics and Adults • Case Mix: General, OB, ENT, TEEs, Cardioversions • Procedures Required: - VBAC/TOLAC - Epidurals - TAP Blocks - Spinal Blocks - Peripheral Nerve Blocks FACILITY INFORMATION • Facility Type: Float Pool • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia equipment • Specialty Backup Available: - Owatonna: 1 MD onsite (not on call) - Faribault: Unsupervised model with MD assistance available as needed • Support Staff Available: Surgical and perioperative teams • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage • Float Requirement: Providers required to float between both facilities (approximately 20 minutes apart) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: Quick Start Preferred COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Included REQUIRED PROCEDURES • General anesthesia • OB anesthesia • Epidurals • TAP Blocks • Spinal anesthesia • Peripheral nerve blocks • Airway management JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Active Minnesota license required • Board: NBCRNA certification required • Certifications: BLS, ACLS • Experience: Minimum 3 years required • Charting Experience: Epic required • Other Qualifications: - Strong OB experience required - Pediatrics and ENT experience required - Comfortable working in both supervised and unsupervised settings DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide anesthesia services across two hospital locations • Perform anesthesia services for general and OB cases • Participate in rotating PM and weekend call coverage • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
