Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist

(Flexible Schedule | Daily OT Eligible | Northern New York Region)

Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM, with on-call requirements

Join a reputable regional medical center located near the Canadian border, just a short drive from Lake Champlain and surrounded by scenic Adirondack views. This assignment offers an opportunity to work in a community-based hospital serving a broad population across Northern New York and nearby Vermont.

Position Highlights

Palm Health is seeking one or two experienced Locum Anesthesiologists to provide full-time or part-time coverage (minimum 2 weeks/month). This is a 100% hospital-based anesthesia role, covering OR and L&D with a mix of surgical cases. OB experience is mandatory including labor epidurals and emergency C-sections.

Youll join a mid-sized team in a supportive and well-equipped surgical department. Minimal CRNA supervision is required, and healthy pediatric anesthesia is optional but welcomed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 45 surgical cases daily across various specialties
  • Provide obstetric anesthesia, including unscheduled C-sections
  • Participate in weekday on-call rotation
  • Perform regional blocks for OR cases
  • Collaborate with CRNAs, anesthesia techs, and OR staff
  • No clinic work 100% hospital OR and L&D coverage
Case Mix
  • Bread-and-butter general surgery
  • Ortho, OB/Gyn, ENT, Urology, Plastics, Colorectal, GI
  • No cardiac, neuro, or cranial cases
  • 700800 annual deliveries
  • Regional blocks required for OR cases
  • Peds (healthy only) is a bonus, not required
