Minimum Qualifications


• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program.

• ARRT-T (ARRT Radiation Therapist) certification.

• Valid Ohio radiology/radiation therapy license.

• BLS certification.

• Minimum 1 year of radiation therapist experience. Clinical experience with CT/Sim and conventional simulation required.

• Competency with radiation therapy techniques, radiation safety, and documentation of QA activities.

• Ability to perform treatment delivery, verify setups, review portal films, and assist with treatment planning as part of the interdisciplinary team.


Preferred Qualifications


• Experience with Elekta equipment is a plus.

• HDR brachytherapy experience is preferred.


Assignment Details


  • Shift hours include 8:00 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
  • Occasional morning QA shifts may be required from 7:00 to 3:30.
  • No call and no weekend requirements.

Impacting Patient Care


The radiation therapist administers prescribed radiation treatments and participates in treatment planning and tumor localization. The role requires maintaining accuracy and safety, monitoring and documenting patient status, and coordinating with radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and support staff. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining therapy equipment, performing CT/Sim, HDR and mold room procedures as appropriate, conducting QA, reviewing daily treatment records and doses, verifying mathematical accuracy of prescriptions, and initiating physician contact for clinical concerns. The therapist documents diagnostic, treatment and QA activities and reports equipment issues. The therapist promotes collaborative practice and completes continuing education and credential maintenance. Duties are performed with or without accommodations.
