Description:

With over 50 years of experience in plastics and manufacturing, Revere has the leadership and insight to help meet all our clients’ needs and demands. We are looking for a talented Director of Business Development to provide leadership and coordination of industrial, automotive and transportation sales and marketing activities through the development and execution of long-term strategies and short term tactical implementation to achieve the revenue and profitability objectives of the organization. This is a full-time travel position, and your home must be located near a major airport, and be located in CST or EST time zone.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop a sales culture that is highly flexible to organization and market changes which will allow for market growth and share gain.
  • Achieve targeted revenue and profitability objectives for the Northern Region by directing the sales organization through personal participation in sales activities as appropriate.
  • Ensure future sales growth by analyzing markets and developing sales strategies with Marketing and new Business Conversion.
  • Responsible for input of sales forecasts for Northern Region to support SIOP process and establishment of annual Sales plan.
  • Gives guidance on the establishment and management of long-term agreements with key customers through interaction with Sales reps, Marketing, New Business Conversion, Legal and Finance.
  • Work closely with Sales peers to grow strategic accounts, resolution of common pricing issues, customer localization efforts, etc.
  • Set strategic and tactical goals, both short term and long term that align with the companies stated annual objectives
  • Schedule regular reviews of sales, quote activities and expenses within assigned sales reps and managers to ensure the revenue and profitability in the region.
  • Actively participate in the cost improvement and business process initiatives within the company – i.e. Operational continuous improvement efforts that will meet companywide objectives.
  • Drive sales reps to provide the market and competitor data to Marketing to assist in the development of strategies, markets, new products, etc.

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in sales, marketing or engineering related field.
  • 10 or more years experience in a management position.
  • 7 or more years of experience in a sales and marketing position preferably involving highly engineered components.
  • Demonstrates good organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member. Must exhibit good judgment under pressure and the ability to make sound decisions based upon a mixture of analysis and experience.
  • Experience in strategic planning and execution of sales plans and managing objectives and revenue expectations.
  • Strong negotiating skills and the development and execution of sales agreements.
  • International selling experience and dealing with different cultures.
  • Possess excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal
  • skills.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule.

Preferred:

  • Experience leading sales teams in similar industries.
  • Master’s degree.
