About the RoleWe are seeking a Project Engineer (Structures / Heavy Civil) to support large-scale infrastructure and site development projects in the Morrisville, NC area. This position is responsible for assisting with project planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution while ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupport project managers and superintendents in project execution, scheduling, and crew coordination.
Assist in reviewing and evaluating project plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules.
Work with engineers, architects, and clients to review design changes and manage change orders.
Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely project delivery.
Support preparation of progress reports, project documentation, and billing.
Participate in field visits to monitor work progress, safety compliance, and quality standards.
Assist with project administration, including contracts, claims, and documentation.
Promote a culture of safety, quality, and productivity across the project team.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
2–6 years of experience in heavy civil construction, structural work, or site development projects.
Familiarity with construction documents, CADD, and project management/estimating software.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local construction codes and safety regulations.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
USACE or NAVFAC Contractor Quality Management experience is a plus.
Additional InformationCandidates should be based within commuting distance of Morrisville, NC (Raleigh/Wilson areas) or open to relocation.
This role requires occasional on-site presence with a balance of office-based project support.
