What you will be doing
  • Supervises tasks across multiple projects or mega projects, collaborating with superintendents, field engineers, and estimators to ensure adherence to contract drawings and specifications.ย 
  • Plans work methods, materials, equipment needs, and schedules, updating them based on project feedback.ย 
  • Forecasts work schedules, identifying and mitigating potential production issues.ย 
  • Reviews project specifications and coordinates with crews and utility companies to identify hazardous areas.ย 
  • Presents production work plans in initial meetings to align project crews and leaders.ย 
  • Coordinates with teams to ensure proper equipment and materials are available within budget and schedule.ย 
  • Provides technical input to resolve project risks and documents daily activities and meetings.ย 
  • Promotes strict adherence to safety and process controls, supervises sub-contractors, and oversees project close-out activities.ย 
What we are looking for
  • 17+ years of heavy civil construction experience required.ย ย 
  • 12+ years management experience in construction required.ย ย 
  • Bachelor's Degree a plus.ย ย 
  • Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.ย 
  • Proven ability to handle complex construction projects using strong organization and multi-tasking skills.ย ย 
  • Proven ability to manage difficult schedules and project demands while maintaining strict adherence to project safety program.ย 
  • Developed expertise in a specialized construction type.ย ย 
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills required.ย ย 
  • Strong leadership capability with internal drive to mentor and grow internal talent.ย ย 
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements.ย ย 
  • Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.ย ย 
  • Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules.ย ย 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards and contract specific plans and specifications.ย 
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals geometry.ย  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.ย 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
