Position Summary
The Communications & Parish Engagement Coordinator supports the by managing internal and external communications, coordinating events, and engaging the campus community through digital and in-person outreach. This role works closely with staff and ministry volunteers to ensure clear, consistent, and effective communication across all platforms while helping to plan and execute parish-wide initiatives.

Compensation

  • $17.50 per hour
  • Part-time,  up to 29.5 hours per week  

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend regular staff meetings and contribute to communication planning and coordination
  • Create, schedule, and manage content across parish social media platforms
  • Update and maintain the parish website, ensuring content is current, accurate, and engaging
  • Coordinate parish events in collaboration with staff and ministry volunteers
  • Organize the LOTW (Light of the World) retreat.
  • Facilitate parish-wide communications, including:
    • Midweek updates
    • Other email and digital communications
  • Assist in preparing and editing the weekly parish bulletin
  • Coordinate and maintain parish calendars to ensure accuracy and alignment across ministries
  • Manage live streaming of Masses and special parish events
  • Update and maintain digital signage across campus
  • Support the organization and promotion of parish events and adult ministry initiatives

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing websites and digital content platforms
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and communication tools
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills
  • Comfort with audiovisual technology (live streaming, digital signage, etc.)
  • Familiarity with parish life and ministry structure preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with platforms such as Flocknote, website CMS tools, or bulletin publishing systems
  • Basic graphic design and content creation skills
  • Event planning and volunteer coordination experience
