Job description

The Studio Coordinator at Smashbox Studios is our front-of-house representative and concierge, responsible for ensuring all clients receive 5-star treatment. An ideal candidate is positive, efficient, well-presented, and prepared to engage discerning clients, as well as high-profile talent, while maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times. A true understanding of high-touch customer service, attention to detail, and follow-up are crucial to success in this role. This position requires a flexible schedule with intermittent early mornings, late nights, and some weekend requirements. Additionally, part of this role includes assisting bookings with admin and client communications giving tours, and responding to booking inquiries, as well as online content collection and collaborative social media planning.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage front of house including reception, lobby and cafe areas
  • Manage studio floor staff including part time and freelance staff
  • Greet clients and guests, sign in messengers/ merchandise, direct calls, prepare cafe orders and provide amenity items
  • Order and maintain cafe supplies and studio amenities, while tracking and approving expenses
  • Maintain high level of presentation in studio, lobby and cafe area with utmost attention to detail
  • Manage and track all incoming/ outgoing client merchandise
  • Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure an optimum client experience in our studio
  • Keep larger staff informed of logistical details pertinent to studio activity
  • Engage all members of the client's team, including producers, photographers, agents, stylists etc, and develop ongoing working relationships
  • Track and collect online client content, collaborate on company social media posting and online engagement
  • Assist the studio booking process including contract negotiations as delegated by the Bookings Director
  • Field questions/ concerns from clients and relay information/ updates from the Booking department
  • Assist on other administrative projects/assignments as needed
  • Ensure a successful overall guest experience supporting the goal of enthusiastic recurring clients at Smashbox Studios

Requirements
  • Full time position on-site in Brooklyn, NY
  • Customer Service experience
  • Barista and/or cafe experience
  • High standards of courtesy and efficiency
  • Professionalism and grace in all interactions
  • Developed communication skills
  • Acute awareness of presentation and detail
  • Knowledge of Social Planning, DAM software and/or Instagram metrics is a plus

The anticipated salary range for this role is $17 - $18.50 per hour. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
