Job description

Small active office looking for a part time team member. We value work life balance so there is some flexiibility in work , All work is on site


Qualifications & Experience

1. Skilled in time management and the ability to multi task & prioritize tasks

2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and mobile communication

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

4. Previous experience in property management or real estate preferred

5. Bookkeeping: 1 year (using accounting software such as QuickBooks, AppFolio, etc.)

6. Strong customer service skills

7. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills

8. Detail oriented and highly organized

9. 30 + hours/week

10. Possible support of sales staff.

Responsibilities Include:

Under the supervision of the Business Manager:

1. Working with tenant accounts maintaining payments and rental activity: accounts/payable, accounts /receivable, and account reconciliations

2. Preparing deposits through the scanning of rental payments utilizing remote deposit capture.

3. Posting rental payments in AppFolio Property Management software.

4. Managing paperwork flow between tenants and office utilizing preferred office filing systems.

5. Following-up on maintenance/repair requests to ensure the situation(s) have been resolved to management standards.

6. Addressing tenant service requests, phone calls, and concerns with follow-up surveys - ensuring continuing tenant satisfaction.

7. Processing new leases and lease renewals.

8. Administering legal documentation to tenants: 1). issuing five- day notices on late rents with follow up, 2). issuing eviction notices with follow up, and 3). issuing other legal documents directed by management.

9. Communicating with tenants regarding property-related issues.

10. Some travel ( 2-3 miles) may be required to do door postings, inspections

11. Performing general office duties: 1). answering the telephone,2). writing-up and assigning service requests, and 3). following- up on pending tasks which include orders office supplies and printed materials.

12. Bank Reconciliation

13. Sales support – working with owner on prospecting and mailing lists.
