Opportunity

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Cook to provide on-site food preparation and meal services within a federally supported residential program in Estacada, Oregon 97023.

Our client operates a comprehensive residential training program serving young adults ages 1624. The program's mission is to prepare students for meaningful employment, continued education, military service, and independent living through academic instruction, career technical training, counseling, and supportive services.

This role is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals to students and staff in accordance with the facility standards. The Cook ensures food quality, sanitation, and safety while supporting the daily operations of the Center's food service program. The solicitation identifies Cook as a required labor category supporting center operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special meals in accordance with approved menus and standardized recipes.
  • Ensure meals are prepared on schedule while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, labeling, and inventory rotation using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices.
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, storing, and rotating food deliveries and supplies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors of food and supply needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, food preparation areas, dining facilities, and storage areas.
  • Follow all sanitation, infection control, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Assist with portion control to minimize waste while meeting nutritional requirements.
  • Accommodate approved special diets and food allergies as directed.
  • Work collaboratively with food service staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain accurate food production and sanitation records as required.
  • Participate in required inspections, audits, and quality assurance activities.
