Location: Chelsea, Manhattan, NY
Start Date: Mid-to-Late July 2026
Live-In Accommodations: This is a hybrid live-in position. The candidate will reside with the family during their scheduled workweek, while traveling, and during extended stays in Connecticut.
Schedule & Travel:Friday, Monday & Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM, plus one morning shift per week from 6:30 AM - 8:30 AM, Saturday & Sunday: 6:30 AM - 11:30 AM and 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM
The family spends July and August primarily at their home in Kent, Connecticut, and travels there approximately every other weekend during the school year. Additional travel includes approximately three weeks annually in South Carolina. Candidates should enjoy travel and be comfortable accompanying the family on these trips.

About the Family:A warm, active family of five is seeking an experienced Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper to become a valued member of their household team for years to come. The family has 3 children, ages 11, 7, and 4 (all will be in school full time starting in September), and they are looking for someone who can confidently balance childcare & household support. They also have a friendly 9-month-old doodle mix. The household is also supported by a housekeeper who handles deep cleaning, creating a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for three children, including assisting with routines, transportation, activities, homework, and day-to-day needs
  • Drive children to and from school, appointments, extracurricular activities, and playdates
  • Travel with the family as needed and provide childcare support while traveling
  • Maintain a safe, nurturing, engaging, and organized environment for the children
  • Serve as a proactive right-hand person to the family, helping anticipate needs and priorities
  • Assist with managing family schedules, calendars, appointments, and household logistics
  • Run errands and assist with day-to-day household operations
  • Maintain household inventory, including groceries, toiletries, and household supplies
  • Place online orders, coordinate deliveries, unpack packages, and put away groceries
  • Assist with household organization projects and maintain efficient systems throughout the home
  • Utilize household technology and scheduling tools, including Skylight
  • Prepare breakfast and dinner for the family during scheduled working hours
  • Handle family laundry, including proper care of delicate garments and coordinating dry cleaning
  • Help maintain the overall organization and presentation of the home between housekeeping visits
  • Coordinate with household vendors and service providers as needed
  • Walk, feed, and provide general care for the family's dog

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Nanny/Housekeeper or similar role in a private home
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable driving children regularly
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using household management tools and apps
  • Excellent communication skills, discretion, and professionalism
  • Comfortable working alongside existing household staff
