Job description

Location: Open to the following Harris Beach Murtha offices (Albany, Buffalo, Ithaca, Rochester, and Syracuse, NY; Boston, MA; Bantam, Hartford, New Haven and Stamford, CT) for a hybrid or remote opportunity.

Harris Beach Murtha is looking for a Litigation Support Analyst to work closely with attorneys, IT, and external vendors to ensure defensible handling of client data and efficient execution of litigation support workflows. You will THRIVE in this role if you have:
  • 2-5+ years of experience in litigation support, eDiscovery, or related experience (required)
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Legal Studies, or related field (preferred)
  • Experience with SQL, LAW, and Relativity (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and client service skills

The Litigation Support Analyst is responsible for supporting all phases of the eDiscovery lifecycle, including data collection, preservation, processing, hosting, review support, and archiving. Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:
  • Coordinate and execute data collections from various sources, including email, network shares, cloud repositories, and local devices
  • Implement and maintain defensible preservation practices, including tracking custodians, data sources, and chain of custody
  • Ensure data integrity and proper handling of metadata throughout the collection process
  • Process client data using industry-standard tools, preparing data for ingestion into Relativity or LAW PreDiscovery
  • Load, manage, and maintain workspaces within Relativity, including folder structures, fields, layouts, and permissions
  • Troubleshoot processing errors and manage exception handling during ingestion workflows
  • Support document review teams by creating batches, running searches, and managing data organization
  • Assist with analytics workflows, including keyword searching, filtering, and deduplication as applicable
  • Provide technical support to attorneys and review teams during active review cycles
  • Prepare document productions, including native and image formats, load files, and metadata deliverables
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external clients regarding project status, requirements, and timelines
  • Assist with onboarding new matters, including workspace setup and data intake
  • Collaborate with IT, Records, and vendors to ensure seamless workflow execution
  • Ensure proper and timely billing entries of Litigation Support activities
