Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading third party logistics provider (3PL) that offers a broad scope of services throughout the entire supply chain. LINC's experienced management team, with its state-of-the-art technology, provides customized logistics solutions to its customers resulting in proven efficiencies and savings.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Supervise all inbound and outbound dock operations for cross-docking, including trailer unloading, freight scanning, sortation, and reloading.
  • Lead a team of material handlers, forklift operators, and dockworkers.
  • Monitor labor productivity, accuracy rates, and trailer dwell times to meet or exceed performance KPIs.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations, safety updates, and workload forecasts.
  • Collaborate with Walmart transportation, yard management, and customer service teams to ensure smooth flow of freight and timely departures.
  • Ensure all equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, RF scanners) is operational and properly maintained.
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Train and mentor dock staff on procedures, performance goals, and operational standards.
  • Prepare shift reports, performance data, and other documentation as required

The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, as well as a strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic, ability to multitask
  • A competitive and career-oriented mindset
  • 0-5 years supervisory or management experience in a warehousing, distribution or transportation environment
