What We Need:
This position will require you to operate propane or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with forklift and/or elevated platforms to safely move materials.
What You'll Do:

  • Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and identify, recommend, and implement safety improvements.
  • Controls operation of lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Operates propane- or electric-powered trucks to transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Moves pallets, skids, boxes, and paper roll stock, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Feeds materials into hoppers using dumping, spraying, or controlled release methods.
  • Unloads and loads raw materials from flatbed and van trailers.
  • Inform line operators of materials staged on the floor and in the production line.
  • Complete the daily Forklift Inspection Checklist prior to utilizing equipment.
  • Manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, cars, conveyors, or lifting devices.
  • Measures and records the weight of materials or finished goods, ensuring all required production data is documented accurately.
  • Communicate with the incoming shift regarding remaining materials for the current order, their locations, and where the next order is staged.
  • Operate and follow instructions as directed by an onboard RF unit.
  • Records quality and output measures and completes any other necessary paperwork.
  • Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision
  • Follow all established standard operating procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
What You Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior forklift experience required. Sit-down propane forklift experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a production or manufacturing work environment preferred.
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with others in the immediate work unit and in related support areas.
What You're Good At:
  • Ability to operate Warehouse Management Systems via stationary and onboard computers.
  • Demonstrated skills relating to time management and attention to detail.
  • Following all established standard operating procedures in place.

What Else?
  • This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, and additional department-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.
  • Other working conditions may include working 12 hour shifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; walking, bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
