Lifecycle Marketing Associates are professionals responsible for managing and optimizing the customer journey across different stages, from acquisition to retention and re-engagement. They develop and execute marketing strategies, often using email, SMS, and other digital channels, to nurture leads and build long-term customer relationships. Their work involves analyzing customer data, segmenting audiences, and creating targeted campaigns to improve customer engagement and maximize lifetime value. Job description

Company:

David creates tools to increase muscle and decrease fat. Our first product is a protein bar. More broadly, David is a platform to develop high-protein, low-calorie, blood-sugar-friendly foods that are craveable. This is a rare opportunity to join a breakout food brand at a pivotal stage of growth. Led by CEO Peter Rahal, Cofounder and Former CEO of RXBAR, David is working to become the leading consumer food brand focused on high-protein foods in North America and beyond.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Lifecycle Marketing Associate, you will lead our lifecycle marketing channels across email, SMS, direct mail, subscriptions, and loyalty. This is both a strategic and hands‑on role: you will develop the roadmap, execute campaigns and programs, analyze performance, and continuously identify opportunities to improve retention and customer lifetime value. You will have meaningful ownership from day one and work cross‑functionally across creative, ecommerce, growth, legal, and other teams to build a best‑in‑class retention program.

Email Marketing and CRM
  • Own day‑to‑day execution across email and SMS, from campaign strategy and automated flows to content, deployment, testing, and optimization in Klaviyo
  • Run the lifecycle marketing calendar and send process, including writing and briefing copy, partnering with design, and managing legal and compliance review
  • Build, test, and optimize automated journeys across the customer lifecycle
  • Use performance data to identify what is working, what is not, and where we should test next
  • Grow and maintain a healthy, contactable customer base across capture, segmentation, consent, and deliverability
  • Partner across the company to support major product launches, retail moments, promotions, and other growth initiatives
  • Own reporting across email, SMS, direct mail, subscriptions, and key retention metrics
Customer Retention and Loyalty Program
  • Help shape and execute our broader retention strategy across subscription, loyalty, repeat purchase, and customer lifetime value
  • Build and optimize the subscription journey from onboarding and engagement through cancel‑save, winback, and reactivation
  • Analyze customer behavior and cohorts to uncover opportunities across churn, repeat purchase rate, purchase frequency, and LTV
  • Own the day‑to‑day management and evolution of our subscription platform, including roadmap, testing, timelines, and execution
  • Develop and test new benefits, programs, and customer experiences designed to deepen loyalty over time
  • Identify new retention opportunities and turn them into experiments, programs, and measurable results
  • 3+ years in lifecycle, retention, and/or growth marketing at a consumer brand or marketing agency
  • Expert in Klaviyo, with significant hands‑on experience
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently run an end‑to‑end workflow with ambiguity and communicate clearly
  • Humble, curious, and fast‑moving, with strong ownership and attention to detail
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to partner effectively across teams
  • A desire to help build a rapidly growing CPG company with a mission‑driven team
Strongly preferred
  • Experience with subscription‑based ecommerce business models
  • Familiarity working in digital design platforms (e.g., Figma, Claude Design)
  • This is a full‑time, in‑office role based in New York City. We work onsite five days a week‑ when the culture fits, it is fun to be in the office together
  • Salary: $115,000-$130,000 per year, inclusive of bonus
  • Company equity options
  • 100% covered Health, Vision, Dental Insurance
  • 401(k) with 4% match
  • Additional perks, such as covered gym expenses
  • Substantial and required PTO
