General Responsibilities Summary
Under the direction of the Outreach Manager, the Mobile Library Branch (Rover) Manager leads and oversees outreach services, bringing library resources, programs, and technology into the community. This role manages the mobile branch, strengthens partnerships, and creates engaging learning opportunities for all ages.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage mobile library operations, including scheduling, staffing, and service delivery
  • Plan and present programs such as storytimes, STEAM activities, technology classes, and community presentations
  • Operate outreach vehicles and ensure proper maintenance, documentation, and reporting
  • Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and local groups
  • Develop strategies to increase awareness and use of mobile library services
  • Provide excellent customer service and connect patrons with library resources
  • Track statistics and evaluate service effectiveness to improve outreach impact
  • Collaborate with library staff and serve as part of the management team

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications
  • Ability to safely operate library vehicles (Chauffeur's License preferred)

Holidays - Nine (9) paid holidays per year.
Insurance - Employees electing coverage pay $10 a pay period for employee health, vision, and dental insurance; 50% paid health, vision, and dental insurance coverage for dependents available with paid employee coverage. Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - A trained counselor is provided for confidential health and wellness assistance through the Southwest Employee Assistance Program.
Worker's Compensation - Coverage is provided for each employee for medical bills and work time lost due to on-the-job injuries.
Paid Time Off - Accrual begins with date of hire with eligibility to use accrued time off after 90 days of service. Time may be carried over to the next year at a maximum of 480 hours. At time of separation, up to 220 hours may be compensated.
Retirement Plan - Mandatory and contributory, begins immediately.
