Job description

Qualifications:

Completed one of the following forms of education:

1.  Two years (approximately 60 hours) of study at an institution of higher education;

2.  An Associates Degree or higher;

3.  Must have met a rigorous standard of quality through a formal state academic assessment (Praxis I or CASA).  Must have a good, moral character, and ethical code.  Must have the ability to communicate effectively with children.  Demonstrate adequate verbal and written language skills and serve as a role model for adults and students.

Salary:

Dependent on Education and Experience

Job Duties:

To provide direct support to the students and staff and to increase and facilitate the effectiveness serving the students and community of the Hanover Community School Corporation.

Coordinates the school library/audio/visual equipment and provide services with equipment;

Meets the library needs of the students and staff;

Knowledgeable and helpful in locating and using books, materials, online resources and equipment;

Constantly informing principal and teachers of the arrival of new materials;

Encourage reading in the school;

Supervise the media center computer lab for students and teachers;

Other duties as assigned.
