Job description

The Legal Services Manager is a member of SEI's Legal & Compliance Department and provides legal services in support of SEI's market units and corporate entities. The role supports legal matters related to the provision of accounting, administration, and distribution services to registered investment products, including mutual funds, exchangetraded funds, closedend funds, and collective investment trusts as well as support for SEI's corporate governance activities.

This position operates under the direction of senior legal professionals and is responsible for managing defined legal workstreams, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and producing high-quality, reliable work product within a highly regulated environment.

What you will do:

  • Manage the preparation, coordination and administration of board of directors and committee meetings, including agendas, meeting materials, minutes, resolutions, and related communications

  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, legal and corporate governance requirements

  • Maintain official corporate and fund records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, including organizational documents, board and committee materials, financial reports, and written consents

  • Draft, review, and coordinate disclosure documents, organizational documents and related legal materials

  • Assist with regulatory examinations and respond to information requests

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate regulatory filings and reports

  • Coordinate the drafting and filing of registration statements and supplements

  • Review and negotiate agreements related to the distribution and servicing of funds offered by SEI clients on intermediary platforms

  • Support daytoday legal matters related to SEI investment solutions and regulated subsidiaries, as needed

  • Collaborate with Legal & Compliance colleagues, business partners, and external service providers to ensure timely, accurate and effective delivery of legal services

Job Scope & DecisionMaking

  • Independently manages routine and moderately complex matters in accordance with established procedures

  • Identifies and escalates complex, highrisk, or novel issues to senior legal staff as appropriate

  • Applies sound judgment within defined policies, regulatory frameworks and supervisory guidance

  • Does not hold final decisionmaking authority with respect to legal positions or interpretations

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in legal services, compliance, or business management

  • Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate work product in a regulated environment

  • Experience supporting registered investment products or regulated financial entities
