Legal Project Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Partner closely with attorneys and cross-functional stakeholders to translate legal, compliance, and regulatory requirements into scalable business processes and operational workflows.
  • Lead and coordinate legal team initiatives across Product, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and other business functions.
  • Optimize and maintain internal processes and workflows that improve efficiency, visibility, and collaboration across teams.
  • Develop, update, and maintain internal guidelines, process documentation, and internal resources.
  • Review customer-facing experiences including product features, partnerships, lifecycle communications, and other initiatives to identify risks before launch.
  • Assist in developing scalable operational controls and monitoring processes that improve visibility into customer experiences and evolving legal and business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, and automated tooling to streamline legal workflows and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop creative solutions that support business objectives and growth while appropriately managing legal and regulatory risk.
  • Assist with legal research and special projects related to financial products, consumer protection, privacy, marketing, and other emerging legal initiatives.
  • Support contract administration and other legal operations initiatives as needed.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have 3+ years of experience in legal operations, project management, compliance, business operations, or a similar cross-functional role.
  • You enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity and are excited by opportunities to build new processes rather than simply follow existing ones.
  • You have experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
  • You're comfortable interpreting complex legal, regulatory, or operational concepts and communicating them clearly to both legal and business teams.
  • You naturally think in systems and are always looking for ways to improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and create scalable solutions.
  • You're excited by new technology and enjoy exploring how AI, automation, and internal tools can improve the way work gets done.

Additional Positive Skills

  • Experience working in fintech, financial services, or another highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with consumer protection, advertising, privacy, or financial services regulations is a plus.
  • Experience with tools like Figma, Airtable, Notion, or similar tools

Salary range: $75,000 - $95,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay may vary depending on knowledge, skill, and experience.
