Job Description SummaryIn the role of Sr Staff Technical Product Manager - Legal Technology you will set the strategy, influence alignment, and drive delivery of the Legal Technology roadmap across GE Aerospace. You will lead end-to-end product ownership: defining the vision and operating model, translating business priorities and risk requirements into a prioritized roadmap, and executing through cross-functional partnership.
This role is built for a leader who can influence without authority, run a disciplined program/project cadence, and deliver measurable outcomes. You will modernize and digitize legal processes, enable AI and automation, and strengthen the company's risk and control posture while improving user experience and operational efficiency.
Secondary scope includes enabling the strategy for ITC (export/trade compliance enablement) and Intellectual Property Management (innovation-to-patent lifecycle management, Freedom to Practice, and patent analytics).Job Description

Key responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and the Legal Technology roadmap: Define the multi-quarter strategy and translate it into a sequenced roadmap (epics, milestones, releases) aligned to business priorities, compliance needs, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional execution (strategy-to-delivery): Drive delivery across engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, legal ops, analytics, and vendors-ensuring on-time, high-quality outcomes with clear scope, dependencies, and release readiness.
  • Run structured discovery and VOC: Establish a repeatable cadence (interviews, workflow observation, data analysis) to identify customer problems, validate needs, and convert insights into outcomes, requirements, and success metrics.
  • Program/project leadership and operating rhythm: Build and run the delivery operating system-roadmap reviews, backlog health, sprint/release readiness, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), decision logs, and stakeholder communications.
  • Prioritization and trade-off facilitation: Lead prioritization across intake, enhancements, incidents, remediation, and strategic work; make trade-offs explicit and drive alignment on scope, sequencing, and capacity.
  • Technical product ownership with depth: Define product and platform requirements (integrations, data, access controls, auditability, non-functional requirements including availability, performance, and security) and influence solution design.
  • Influence architecture and security-by-design outcomes: Partner with architects and security/privacy leaders to ensure solutions meet security, privacy, regulatory, and audit requirements with strong traceability and minimal friction to users.
  • Stakeholder leadership without authority: Align Legal leadership and technology stakeholders through crisp narratives, executive-ready updates, and clear recommendations; manage conflict productively and drive decisions.
  • Measurement and value realization: Define KPIs and dashboards that show adoption, cycle time reduction, control readiness, and risk reduction; use insights to continuously improve delivery and product outcomes.
  • Vendor/SaaS strategy and delivery oversight: Evaluate tools, lead implementation planning, manage vendor performance, and ensure value realization across adoption, utilization, cost, and risk.
  • Secondary ownership (ITC & IP enablement): Partner with ITC and IP stakeholders to set the strategy opportunities, prioritize a scalable backlog, and deliver incremental improvements that compound over time.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with minimum 6 years of professional experience OR Associate's Degree with minimum of 9 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 11 years of professional experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Technical Product Management
  • Significant experience intechnical product managementfor enterprise platforms, workflow tools, or regulated domains
  • Demonstrated ability tobuild and execute roadmaps, manage backlogs, and lead cross-functional delivery
  • Strong requirements writing skills; comfortable partnering with engineers/architects on solution design
  • Experience operating in environments withsecurity, privacy, regulatory, and auditrequirements
  • Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience

NOTES:

The base pay range for this position is $131,000 - $180,000 annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on May 31, 2026.
