Job description

About the role

Reporting directly to the NAM Head of Law Firm Management, the role will be responsible for supporting the contracting of claims Law Firms, engaging in the collection of Law Firm due diligence, issuing contract documentation, supporting rate negotiations, and storing and uploading all commercial agreements.

Key responsibilities:

Support Claims Law Firm Managers with spend data analysis, data queries, and reporting, which support line of business Law Firm strategies or complex / high value Law Firm negotiations;

Participate in end to end acquisition of smaller Law Firms with an annual spend of less than $500K for Insurance Claims processing and adjudication commodities. This shall include;

Participate and lead Law Firm pricing negotiations;

Document and summarize the agreed commercial terms accurately; and

Collect and store all required due diligence documentation in line with the team's standard operating process.

  • Documentation and website updates, keeping business facing documents / webpages which reflect AIG's commercial positions with Law Firms accurate and current;

  • Assist Claims Law Firm Managers in handling law firm inquiries and provide support to internal Claims stakeholders as necessary, including performing searches/queries via AIG's e-billing and law firm management platform and monitoring team's inbox

  • Follow legal guidance and other support groups when issuing law firm contracts.

  • Perform other ad hoc assignments to enable AIG to more cost-effectively procure services

Qualifications:

1+ years of legal, insurance or financial services industry required.

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience;

Advanced proficiency using MS Excel to review, analyze, and summarize large quantities of data including expert experience creating pivot tables, advanced formulas, and charts

Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning (quantitative and qualitative) that can be applied in a problem-solving scenario.

Ability to perform complex data analysis, report on spend analysis, KPI's, savings, trends, etc.

Strong organizational, customer service, leadership/influencing and negotiation skills

Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)

Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
