Job description

Job Description Summary
The Student Employee will support operations improvement initiatives by collecting and documenting accurate process timing data across a variety of manufacturing and inspection environments. This includes conducting both on-the-floor and video-based observations to capture manual time and automatic cycle time for Shared Resource processes, high-volume machining operations, and QA laboratory inspection activities, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operations. The data gathered in this role will help inform productivity analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and support operational decision-making. The Student Employee may assist with broader continuous improvement efforts such as identifying process waste, documenting standard work by operation, and developing standard work combination sheets.
