Position Overview:
As a Project Manager Level 1, you will assist in managing small-scale electrical projects while developing foundational project management skills. This entry-level role includes supporting senior level project managers, coordinating project tasks, and building relationships with customers and team members. Your focus will be on learning the industry, mastering safety and regulatory standards, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective project execution. This role serves as a steppingstone to Level 2 project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Support
โ€ข Assist senior level PMs in scheduling meetings, appointments, and key milestones.
โ€ข Prepare, distribute, and maintain basic project documentation.
โ€ข Maintain organized project files and ensure data accuracy.
โ€ข Manage project-related communications, including emails and phone calls.
2. Project Coordination
โ€ข Collaborate with senior PMs to develop simple project plans and budgets.
โ€ข Support estimating by gathering data and performing basic takeoffs.
โ€ข Track and oversee assigned project tasks, ensuring timely completion.
โ€ข Coordinate minor logistics, such as equipment reservations and site preparation.
3. Documentation and Reporting
โ€ข Maintain and organize project documentation, including schedules and progress reports.
โ€ข Generate basic reports on project status for stakeholders.
โ€ข Ensure adherence to company project management standards.
4. Safety and Compliance
โ€ข Follow safety protocols and report any safety concerns to senior PMs.
โ€ข Assist in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
5. Communication
โ€ข Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
โ€ข Act as a point of contact for assigned tasks and issues during small projects.
6. Additional Duties:
โ€ข Flexibility to perform other assigned tasks to support the overall business objectives
Requirements (Education, Experience, Skills & Attributes):
โ€ข 0-2 years of experience in project coordination or a related role.
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
โ€ข Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, or a related field is preferred.
โ€ข Experience in project estimating and familiarity with quoting and takeoff processes is highly desirable.
โ€ข Basic understanding of electrical drawings and specifications (training provided).
โ€ข Experience working on projects that involve cross-functional teams.
โ€ข Familiarity with the use of specialized project management or estimating software.
โ€ข Familiarity with NEC standards and OSHA regulations.
Physical Requirements:
This job involves both indoor and outdoor work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
โ€ข Lift, carry and/or move up to 75 pounds repeatedly.
โ€ข Climb ladders, staircases, step stools, stand, walk, sit, and operate vehicles for extended periods.
โ€ข Bend, stoop, crawl and work in awkward positions or confined spaces for several hours.
